State-by-State Breakdown
Permits We Handle
New York (NY HUT)
The New York Highway Use Tax (HUT) is required for motor vehicles operating on NY public highways with a gross weight over 18,000 lbs.
Important Note: NY State often requires specific payment methods for processing taxes and decals, such as a money order or certified cashier's check. We will guide you through exactly how to secure and submit this to avoid processing delays.
Kentucky (KYU)
Required for any carrier with a gross weight of 59,999 lbs or more traveling through Kentucky. You must file quarterly mileage reports once registered. We can set up your inventory and file your quarterly taxes.
New Mexico (NM WDT)
New Mexico requires a Weight Distance Tax for vehicles over 26,000 lbs. If you do not have an active NM account, you will be forced to buy expensive temporary trip permits at the port of entry. We get you registered permanently.
Oregon Permit & Bond
Oregon does not participate in IFTA. Trucks over 26,000 lbs must have an Oregon Weight Receipt and Tax Identifier. We handle the complex setup process, including guidance on the mandatory Oregon Highway Bond.
